FAQs

Is it safe to do Personal Training with COVID-19 still prevalent?

Training indoors will always have risks but Edinburgh Leisure have taken the following steps to ensure your safety in their gyms:

  • Reduced maximum capacity of gym users

  • Social distancing

  • Enhanced cleaning protocols

  • Wearing of face coverings in the venue (optional in the gym)

If training indoors at the moment is a concern I am offering online video sessions or outdoor sessions instead.

Do you charge extra for nutritional guidance and a diet plan?

I do not charge additional fees, all my active clients get regular dietary advice to make better choices. I can make suggestions but if you want a nutritional plan or diet plan written for you then you should seek a qualified nutritionist or dietician. Be wary of fad diets which can often be very unhealthy, I would suggest making small long term changes which are maintainable, this means you won't lose all the progress you have made.

How often should I be exercising?

I would recommend exercising a minimum of 3 times a week for 45 to 60 minutes. Exercise should be moderate to high intensity examples include strength training, running or spin classes.

What gyms do you work in?

I work in Edinburgh Leisure Craiglockhart gym.

Do you offer home or outdoor training?

Yes, I have all the fitness equipment required to do a large range of workouts outdoors in the park or in your back garden. Get in touch prior to booking to discuss availability.

Do I need a gym membership?

No. There is no extra cost to do personal training in the gym. It is helpful if you have one to do your own training in between personal training sessions but it’s not essential.
